Roughing It Day Camp Spring/Summer Internships

Roughing It Day Camp is currently offering internship positions for the spring and summer. These positions are designed for individuals interested in and educated toward Agriculture Science, Equine Studies, Recreation Administration, Education, Corporate Leadership, and/or Animal Science. Summer and year-round employment opportunities are also available, as are positions in many other areas of specialty. Pre-requesites include the ability to obtain certifications and references. Job duties will include:

  • the planning, implementation and supervision of Day Camp and Horse Camp programs
  • organizing, training and supervising Day Camp and Horse Camp staff,
  • coordinating ride site lesson plans/activities as well as camper supervision,
  • evaluation staff and camper progression, facilitating and caring for a small livestock herd,
  • maintaining ride site through daily safety inspections
  • parent/public relations and communication skills
