Peterson & Smith Equine Hospital Internship for pre-vet students

Peterson & Smith Equine Hospital is a full service equine practice in the heart of Ocala, Florida's horse country. There are six internships available, two in the hospital (surgery/ medicine/ sports medicine), two at the equine reproduction center, and two in the ambulatory department. The internship is through the spring semester, January through May. Housing with laundry facilities is provided and the intern receives a weekly salary of $250.00. Students must be enrolled in a pre-vet general agricultural/equine educational program, be a minimum of 18 years old, and have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. The schedule is 50-75 hours per 6-day working week. Interested students should e-mail Dr. Amy Burk.
