Chronicle of the Horse Internship Opportunity

The Chronicle of the Horse is a weekly news magazine that covers English riding and horse sports. We offer internships on the editorial staff year-round for people interested in horses and journalism. Duties include proofreading, analyzing freelance submissions for acceptance/rejection, editing freelance submissions, researching, going on assignment to cover equestrian events, interviewing experts for profiles or features, and exposure to layout, design, and production. Intern schedules are flexible, some weekends are spent on assignments. The preferred duration of an internship is two to four months. The requirements for the internship are strong English language background, knowledge of English horse sports - competitive background strongly suggested, interest in journalism career and a talent for photography is considered helpful.
